Hi: I posted this a few days ago and no answer. Thought I would post again in case someone might be able to help.
I am wondering if there is a way to activate an alarm (beep) if my LiveCode iOS app is NOT currently running?
What I would like to be able to do, is allow the user to set up conditions and alarms, then have those alarms activate when conditions are met - even if the iOS app is not running.
One way would be to have some small subset of code running in the background when the main app is not running, another option is to access the users system calendar / alarm application and actually set an alarm at the system level - can an LC app do this?

Hi Greg,
1. (This is the moderator speaking!

It is bad style to open two threads for the same topic, no matter if there were responses or not!
So please avoid this in the future, thanks. I will delete the old thread.
2. Since LiveCode iOS is not (yet) multitasking capable, there is obviously currently no way to do what you want to, sorry.
Best
Klaus
