Capitalization.

Post by Kaubs » Thu Sep 22, 2011 7:22 pm

I had read a post probably a couple months ago where the user had an issue of Livecode field's capitalizing for the first time you try to enter text....is this still a bug that's not fixed? Is there a way to get around it to on text entry entry only capitalize the first letter of the field and then turn the shift key off? I don't want to force the letters in the field to be lowercase after the first letter because the doesn't give the user the ability to put in a name such as "McGrath" or anything where another letter in the sequence would need to be capitalized. Please tell me I'm not SOL! LOL :D

Hi Kaubs.
Aorry, I didn't see that this was in the iOS category. Interesting to know though about the different behavior.

In iOS multiline text controls there is a capitalisation style setting that gives some control over how this works but I believe it's buggy. See the iOS release notes for version 4.6.4 for more information.

(or do you mean ordinary LC fields?)
